Thing 8

Social Bookmarking - VERY COOL!!!!
I'm very excited to get to work and use all the tags to organize information at home and then be able to access them through bookmarking at school. As we speak(or BLOG) a Smart Board is being installed in my classroom- talk about a great way to organize lessons and to bring up information in a seconds notice.

Thing 5

Exciting and Overwhelming!!!!
All the information and ideas make absolute sense and just flow naturally into the entire learning experience. It almost makes too much sense- I feel this fluidity opens up so much in the way of possibilities: how do I manage keeping all of my students on the right path and making the best use of their time? How do I bring this exorbinate amount of information into a manageable bite for third graders? How do I bring parents into this world of education? Many questions- but the enthusiasm about the world and it's opportunities will assist me in helping myself and leaning on the experience and advise of others.

Thing 4

I found each of the selections to be very eye-opening. It's amazing to see how quickly our lives and the expectations in our lives are changing. The ability to instill in our students the importance of being able to problem solve and to become active participants in their own learning is exciting! Having students watch the world unfold and progress in front of them keeps parents, educators, and the community on their toes. This segment would be captivating to a variety of audiences.

Thing 3

Like many of you, this is my first attempt at blogging. I suppose this would be a very efficient way to communicate professionally and socially, allowing a wide range of ideas and information to be exchanged. I'm keeping an open mind, but I also see it as "another" method of communication that needs to be continually updated. I will need to continue exploring how to intermix each resource to find which will best suit me. I love to try new new things- let's see where this takes me.
Why not? I have all summer. (HA)
